[ Edited ]

Hello,

I own 2 junipers EX3300 and a EX4550 i want to setup a GRE tunnel so i can peer with a remote router.
And do BGP on my end.

however my configuration shows the following.

Warning: configuration block ignored. unsupported platform

On google i read more people about this years ago when a juniper tech support reacts with the hardware will support it but the OS does not. Since R15.1 i should i see a page further however i am on the latest firmware and i still have no clue....

Hey Dutchevil,

Greetings, unfortunately, this is a platform limitation and not a software limitation, please check below:

If this solves your problem, please mark this post as "Accepted Solution" so we can help others too \:)/

But why i see this ?

https://takab-cng.ir/?exampass=t5/Ethernet-Switching/GRE-tunnel-between-EX-series-switches/td-p/50392

that an older EX3300 wont support it i can agree with that.

But can you please lookup an EX4550 and tell me  why a 32 fiber 10GB switch with bgp cant do a simple GRE tunnel.

Or give me an model in the EX series that is cheap to get to build a GRE tunnel for IPV4 / IPV6 traffic and setup a BGP tunnel
